Kara Clapp, MFT-C, LPCC

Child therapy done mainly through parents, and the person you’ll talk to on the first call.

Kara holds a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. In Colorado she is a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate (MFT-C) and a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC).

Her training in family systems shapes how she works: a child’s behavior is tied to what happens around them, so she works where change can last, at home and with you. Her methods are behavioral and research-based. Our approach, and how child therapy works here.

Who Kara works with

Toddlers and preschoolers

Sleep, tantrums, toileting and separation, worked on almost entirely with parents.

School-age kids

Meltdowns, defiance, worry and attention, with your child joining as it helps.

Co-parents

One plan across two homes, so your child gets the same response from both of you. How parent coaching works.
